And the all-around individual gymnastics gold medal goes to ... Sydney Leroux?
Well, not this time around. But Leroux looks primed to make a run in 2020.
The 2015 World Cup champion is watching from home with husband/MLS star Dom Dwyer as her U.S. women's soccer teammates compete in Rio. She is eight months pregnant with their child. Leroux is still willing to show off her gymnastics skills on Instagram:
Leroux won a gold medal in London as the youngest member of the U.S. squad. She scored a crucial goal in the quarterfinals against New Zealand.
Perhaps the newly minted "final five" would welcome Leroux to their ranks. Or maybe her newborn is two decades from gymnastics glory.
