Nick Saban

Nick Saban does not care about Pokemon -- we don't need to talk to him to know that's a fact. Unless Bulbasaur also has the strength and lateral speed to line up at guard on the offensive line, Saban would rather not touch a Poke ball.

His assistant coaching staff doesn't share those views. While Saban may have an aversion to anything with a microchip in it, assistant coach Randall Spain has gotten in on the Pokemon Go action. And he happened to find the coveted Pikachu in a curious location: Saban's desk.

Spain was gutsy enough to share a photo of Pikachu to Twitter:

The amazing thing here is not the appearance of a Pikachu on Alabama football premises. It's the bravery -- or stupidity -- Spain exerted in sharing the photo online, proving that he was playing a video game in the very bowels of Nick Saban's Crimson Tide dojo.

As of this writing, Spain is employed. We'll update if his status changes, or if his Pikachu evolves into a Raichu.
