Ice Tub

Since 1995, nearly 50 high school football players have died from heat stroke. There is a relatively inexpensive way to prevent such deaths, but according to a report on HBO's Real Sports, most schools aren't investing in it.

The answer is a $150 ice tub, Dr. Doug Casa says on the Real Sports episode that premieres at 11 p.m. ET/PT Tuesday August 20. His research shows the tub to be 100 percent effective if a player is treated within 10 minutes. So why doesn't every team have one?

"I ask myself that same question a lot," Casa tells Soledad O'Brien.
