Giancarlo Stanton, A.J. Ramos and former Marlins pitcher Ricky Nolasco are doing their part to ensure the life of Jose Fernandez is remembered. The three worked with Brazilian street artist Tito na Rua to create a mural commemorating Fernandez's life in Rio de Janeiro.
The mural portrays a bat hovering over the word "Nino," alongside Fernandez's No. 16 and the Cuban Flag. Inside the bat reads the word "saudades," the Portuguese equivalent to "miss you."
Both Stanton and Ramos shared videos of the mural curation process on Twitter:
