Linus Butt, Florian Fuchs

The German men's field hockey team started the Olympics on a high note Sunday, beating Canada 6-2. However, the most prominent headline of the game had nothing to do with the actual play on the field.

German teammates Linus Butt and Florian Fuchs were standing next to each other on the field while this photo was taken. The image provides some comedic relief to the drama of the Olympics.

Butt, 29, was born in Kempen, Germany. He made his German national team debut on Oct. 3, 2008. Fuchs, 24, was born in Hamburg. He was on the 2012 Olympic gold medal team (Butt was a reserve) and was named IHF Young Player of the Year in 2012.
