It will be a lot easier for New Yorkers to recognize Mets ace Matt Harvey now that he's got a new, Brad Pitt-inspired hairdo.

The 24-year-old, who had a breakthrough 2013 season in which he was named a starter for the All-Star Game, is rehabbing from offseason Tommy John surgery that will likely keep him out for all of 2014.

Still, Harvey has remained active on social media and Monday he posted a picture of his new haircut with the following caption:

"New spring training cut!!! Inspired by Brad Pitts Oscar trim"

Here's what Pitt looked like Sunday:

2013 was a banner year for Pitt as well. He produced and acted in the film 12 Years a Slave, which was named Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
