Karl-Anthony Towns has the game, the work ethic and the pedigree to make it in the NBA.

As for his butt, well, that's a different question.

Phil Jackson, whose New York Knicks are 14-60 and may end up with the top pick in this year's NBA draft, will be looking for a big man to play alongside Carmelo Anthony in New York's triangle offense.

Enter Towns, Kentucky's star freshman who has dominated opposing defenses all seasonr and scored a career-high 25 points Saturday in the Wildcats' Elite Eight victory over Notre Dame.

Towns, who grew up in New Jersey, seems like he would be a good fit for Jackson and coach Derek Fisher. But, according to Jackson's longtime friend Charley Rosen, Towns is lacking in one of his key "assets."

"They need a center with a big butt to hold space," Rosen told the New York Post. “They didn’t have anybody like that. It takes away a major portion of what you can do with the triangle because then it really becomes just a perimeter offense."

At 6-foot-11 and 250 pounds, Towns seems like he'd be a good fit for any NBA team. But Rosen, for one, isn't convinced.

“Towns is not a big enough body," said Rosen, who served as Jackson's assistant coach on the Albany Patroons from 1983-1986. "He’d never get that position in the NBA. He doesn’t have enough power or core strength. He wouldn’t be able to set up one dribble away from the basket. He’s not a kind of center you need in the triangle. He’s not physically that type of center, but he’s athletic and does other things. Look how far out (Lou) Amundson, (Jason) Smith and (Andrea) Bargnani get pushed out when they post up, well out of the box."

Instead of Towns, Rosen thinks Detroit Pistons center Greg Monroe, who will be a free agent this offseason, would fit better in Jackson's triangle offense. Monroe is listed at 6-foot-11 and 250 pounds, so he and Towns are similarly built, but perhaps Monroe is bigger where it counts.

It should be noted that Rosen's thoughts are just observation and are not from Jackson himself, so they must be taken with a grain of salt. Towns will have more opportunities to prove himself at this weekend's Final Four and in his individual workouts with teams.

In the meantime, someone actually created this meme of Jackson as Sir Mix-A-Lot:
