By earning recognition as one of the nation's healthiest schools, West Side High in New York had the privilege of having professional BMX rider Nigel Sylvester teach a spin class during his visit. West Side High was one of only six schools in the country and the only one in New York to receive a National Healthy Schools Gold Award from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Sylvester, 27, is a native New Yorker and he also spoke to the students about the importance of eating smart.
