Mayor Michael Bloomberg's final State of the City address combined the usual politics of the annual address with quite a bit of added flair with a sports theme.

The speech, which was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, included stadium popcorn, Nets dancers and even something not normally seen at Brooklyn Nets games: Championship banners.

Before the mayor's remarks, Bloomberg's staff hung championship-style banners from the ceiling that displayed his various accomplishments: A record-low number of homicides, a record-high life expectancy and more.

Naturally, the banners were quickly made into a Twitter hashtag and mocked by incredulous New Yorkers:
