Talk about a grand entrance.

Marcin Gortat rolled into his basketball camp this week in Poland on top of a humvee, although some reports have called it a tank. Polish basketball journalist Pawel Lakomski shared these photos of the Washington Wizards forward:

Gortat posted a video from the top of the vehicle of teammate Chris Singleton, who is in Poland with Gortat to help out at the camp:

A little jarring, sure, but not terribly surprising coming from a man who says the NBA should allow in-game fighting.

Gortat, who is set to become a free agent this week, is coming off one of the best years of his career. The 30-year-old recorded career-highs in starts (80 games), minutes played (32.8 a night) and playoff points-per-game (13). The Wizards are hoping to re-sign Gortat, and the team sent a delegation including coach Randy Wittman and team executive Tommy Sheppard to Poland this week to meet with the big man.

Amazingly, this may only be the second best thing that has happened to Gortat this summer. Last week Gortat posted a photo of himself at a shopping mall accompanied by a pig on a leash.
