Michael Jordan was awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom earlier this week. His Airness has come a long way since getting drafted after Sam Bowie.
One of Jordan's earliest accomplishments came in the 1987-88 season, when he won his first MVP Award, averaging 35.0 points, 5.9 assists and 5.5 rebounds in his first 50-win season. He also won the All-Star MVP, Slam Dunk Contest, steals title and scoring title that year.
Oh, and one other thing. Jordan wore the Air Jordan III for the first time during that MVP campaign.
Ahead of this holiday season, the Jordan Brand retroed the Air Jordan in "OG" form. Similar to the popular "True Blue" colorway, but with a red tongue, the OG colorway released globally on Friday (Nov. 25).
The highest-profile Air Jordans on the holiday market right now, the Air Jordan III OG has a suggested retail of $220, but Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale opportunities may provide a short-lived discount this weekend.
